The Pleasanton Seahawks competed at the Junior Olympics Short Course Championship host by San Ramon Valley Aquatics on March 14-16.

Pre-Junior 1 Group

Mattias Bengtsson swam best times in the 200 and 500 freestyle. Bryson Huey reached the finals in four events and had 100% best times, including two new Far Western cuts in 50 and 100 freestyle. Jordan Lee swam best times in four events, including a finals appearance and a new FW cut in 50 butterfly. Elinor Kry had best times in 50 backstroke, 50 breaststroke and 100 IM. Hailey Fesai had strong performances in two backstroke events.

Junior Group

Lauren Jhong recorded best times in 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle. Farrah Brown had a FW time in the 100 backstroke. Olivia Kim and Jaewoo Kim reached the finals in several events. Lizzie Balicanta had a FW time in the 50 breaststroke, and Kyra Black had a FW time in the 100 freestyle. Kaela Lee swam to three new best times. Mackenzie Lee recorded five new best times and reached several finals. Stephanie Shao had 100% best times, including a FW time in the 200 butterfly. Gwyn Wong had two new best times and Darren Dai had a FW time in the 50 backstroke. Junwoo Kim swam well in the 50 butterfly, and Aaron Lin made the 200 breaststroke finals with a FW time.

Miranda Heckman set new PLS records in the 500 and 1650 freestyle events, as well as reaching the finals in all of her events. Alex Suehiro swam 100% best times.

Tumbling and Trampoline

27 gymnasts from Livermore's Springtime Tumbling and Trampoline competed in the G-Force Flip Fest on Feb. 22 in Redding.

Springtime will next travel to Reno, Nevada to compete in the Go for the Gold Invitational.
