President's list: Jenna Fabrique has earned placement on the president's list at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., for fall semester 2013. Students must earn a 3.7 to 4.0 grade-point average to be listed. Jenna is the daughter of Marea and Jim Fabrique, of San Ramon.

University Fellowship: Cal Poly business student Nicholas Sinai was one of 66 university students selected to be a University Innovation Fellow by the National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation (Epicenter). The University Innovation Fellows are a network of student leaders working to create institutional change that will increase student engagement with entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity, design thinking and venture creation. Sinai, of Dublin, recently completed the training and will create new experiences for students at Cal Poly.

Distinguished school named in Dublin: Kolb Elementary School joined an exclusive list of the state's top schools recently by becoming a California Distinguished School. This is the first time since opening in 2011 that Kolb Elementary has received this honor. According to the California Department of Education, the 2014 California Distinguished School's Program focuses on California's students' right to an equitable and rigorous education and recognizes those schools that have made progress in narrowing the academic achievement gap.
