Meet Beanie, a sweet, calm, mild-mannered 2-year-old, 9-pound dog who makes the best of what life has to offer. All he needs now is a comfortable new home. When he first came to Berkeley Humane he had a badly broken leg, which was amputated in mid-May. He is recovering well and learning how to get around on three legs. Beanie gets along well with other dogs, and might even learn to live peacefully with dog-savvy cats given proper introduction.
Candide is a lovely 3-year-old lady who has several adorable habits. When she's feeling happy and content, she loves to lie on her back with her legs fully extended, making air muffins with her furry paws. When she's feeling nervous or shy, she'll burrow into her bedding until she's nearly invisible, just a bit of white and black nose peeking out to betray her presence. Sweet Candide shows great promise toward becoming a confident and affectionate cat in her new home. She'll be the type of cat who naps in your lap in the evening and bathes in window sunlight during the day.
