Albany police log: Threats via social media reported; bicycle thefts; apricots picked from backyard tree

SUNDAY, June 15 WARRANTS -- At 10 a.m. officers contacted a person collecting recyclables in the 700 block of San Pablo Avenue. They arrested the 42-year-old El Cerrito man for two outstanding warrants. ROBBERY -- At 11 a.m. a caller reported that a son had been assaulted and robbed of his wallet the previous night on San Pablo Avenue. AUTO BREAK-IN -- Items were stolen overnight from a vehicle on Key Route Boulevard. THREATS -- At 1:30 p.m. a caller reported receiving death threats over Facebook from an ex-boyfriend. After investigating, officers arrested a 22-year-old Kensington man at 3 p.m. for suspicion of making terrorist threats and violating a restraining order. DISTURBANCE -- Officers issued a warning to a man on Stannage Avenue when neighbors complained that he screams, swears, yells and slams doors for several hours every night.
MONDAY, June 16 DUI -- At 2:30 a.m. officers arrested a 25-year-old Stockton man near Castro and Adams Streets for suspicion of two counts of DUI. TOW -- An abandoned car was towed from Posen Avenue at 10 a.m. BIKE STOLEN -- A blue Columbia bicycle with red handle tape and whitewall tires was stolen overnight from the second story balcony of an Evelyn Avenue apartment.
TUESDAY, June 17 THEFT -- A credit card was stolen out of a car on Masonic Avenue night. HOME BREAK-IN -- Between 3 and 5 p.m. thieves broke into a home on Kains Avenue and stole items. The resident returned home and found the front door and a window open.
WEDNESDAY, June 18 ASSAULT -- At 11:30 a.m. the owner of El Cerrito Tires on Cleveland Avenue reported that an employee punched him in the face and then fled in a car. Officers are investigating. BIKE STOLEN -- A gold bicycle with chrome handle bars and white handles was stolen from Solano Tilden Prep School at 4 p.m. Officers took the report. DISTURBANCE -- At 9 p.m. officers warned a noisy group of partyers at Terrace Park when neighbors complained.
THURSDAY, June 19 VANDALISM -- Vandals sprayed graffiti on the roof of a storage shed at St. Mary's School on Albina Street overnight. THEFT -- At 1 p.m. an employee at Max's Liquors on San Pablo Avenue reported that a few minutes prior two white male juveniles stole a bottle of alcohol. They were last seen walking east toward Solano Avenue and were gone when officers arrived. THEFT -- An employee at CVS Pharmacy on Solano Avenue reported that a woman had just stolen a facial product from the store and threatened the employee. APRICOT THIEF -- A San Carlos Street resident reported someone went into the home's backyard over the weekend and stole all of the apricots from their tree and also broke several branches. DISTURBANCE -- At 10 p.m. officers warned a cleaning crew using very noisy equipment at China Village on Solano Avenue when neighbors complained.
FRIDAY, June 20 DISTURBANCE -- At 2:30 a.m. officers responded to reports of a couple arguing loudly in an apartment on Washington Avenue. Officers determined no action needed to be taken.
SATURDAY, June 21 AUTO BREAK-IN -- Change was stolen overnight from a car on Pomona Avenue. DRUGS -- At 8:30 p.m. officers investigated a person walking on the railroad tracks near Petsmart in the 1000 block of Eastshore. They arrested a 26-year-old transient woman from Albany for suspicion of two counts of drug possession.
SUNDAY, June 22 NO LICENSE -- A 24-year-old Richmond man was arrested at 12:30 a.m. near San Pablo Avenue and Buchanan Street for suspicion of driving with a suspended license. THEFT -- At 10 a.m. a man reportedly stole alcohol from Max's Liquors on San Pablo Avenue and was last seen walking north on San Pablo Avenue. He was gone when officers arrived. AUTO STOLEN -- A car was stolen overnight on Brighton Avenue. TOW -- A car on San Pablo Avenue with 10 outstanding parking tickets was towed at 9:30 p.m.
