Residents are invited to an open house Thursday to discuss a study on expanding the free Broadway shuttle and possibly switching the bus service to an electric streetcar.
The study, funded by a federal grant, is evaluating the cost and benefit of extending the shuttle to Kaiser Hospital and the MacArthur BART Station. It is also reviewing transit alternatives to improve connections between the downtown, Rockridge BART Station and the waterfront Brooklyn Basin development.
The open house will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Hearing Room 3 of City Hall, 1 Frank Ogawa Plaza.
