  • Moonlight Movie -- 6:30 p.m., craft and children activities, movie following at sunset. The Town of Danville welcomes back the Moonlight Movies series this summer, offering a mix of animated, live action, new run as well as classics. This week's movie will be " Rio." A 2011 animated comedy adventure about taking a walk on the wild side. Families are asked to bring a blanket and lawn chairs. Town Green located at 400 Front St., Danville.   • Concert in the Park -- 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Pleasanton Downtown Association popular Concert in the Park series will feature an eclectic mix of music from rock, blues and big band to '50s and '60s oldies, soul, and Latin rock. This weeks featured band will be Burton & Co., Jazzy Rhythm and Blues. Pick up or bring dinner "to go" to the park. While guests are allowed to put out blankets and chairs (at their own risk) they are asked to wait until the morning of the concert to do so. The use of rocks to hold down blankets is prohibited, as large rocks can damage lawn-mowing equipment. Also, the use of plastic tarps, which can burn the grass, is not allowed. Lions Wayside Park on the corner of First Street and Neal Street, Free.

  • Art and Wine Stroll -- 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy a fun-filled evening of wine tasting, small bites from Danville restaurants, the latest offerings from our shops, live music, a commemorative wine glass and trolley rides. Select businesses will stay open late to host some of our area's finest wines as you stroll throughout downtown Danville. Tickets are $25 each and can be redeemed for wine glasses at each venue from 5:30-7:30 p. m. the night of the event. Any remaining wine glasses will be available for sale from 5:30-7:30 p. m.

  • "Sideways" -- 8 p.m. Wine aficionados are invited to take a break from the Danville Art and Wine Stroll to enjoy a screening of "Sideways" a funny and poignant story of friends Jack (Thomas Haden Church) and Miles (Paul Giamatti) as they make a pilgrimage to Wine Country to enjoy one last weekend of bachelorhood before Jack's wedding. Of course, nothing goes quite as planned. Village Theatre and Art Gallery, 233 Front St., Danville.   • Infant Sleep Workshop for Parents -- 2 p.m. An educational workshop for parents of children ages 0-2 (and expecting parents, too). Presenter Dr. Irena Keller, Ph.D., is an adjunct professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Development at San Jose State University and a lecturer and researcher on infant sleep at U.C. Berkeley. The workshop will address what parents should know about infant sleep, as well as offer practical steps they can take to address common sleep issues. No registration is required for this free, hour long program. Pleasanton Library, 400 Old Bernal Avenue.
