Health vendors sought for Oct. 11 seniors event
The town is looking for health and fitness vendors for its "Live Well, Age Smart" Health and Resource Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Danville Senior Center at 115 E. Prospect Ave.
The event will feature an exhibitors' hall, lectures on health and wellness, free health screenings, raffle prizes and refreshments.
The deadline to apply is Monday. Vendors can pay $35 for an 8-foot table to display their business to hundreds of local Danville seniors, the town said. Or for $150, businesses or organizations can be Senior Services Sponsors at the event.
A $150 contribution will allow companies to have a table or canopy in front of the building's entrance during the event, as well as have their name and logo in printed materials and news releases for the event on the Danville website. For more information or to receive an application, contact Senior Services at email@example.com or call 925-314-3490.

Ballet company names children's division chief
Valley Dance Theatre, the resident ballet company of Livermore's Bankhead Theater, recently announced the new director of its Children's Division.
Ballet instructor and performer Madison Burgess Adkins brings 20 years of ballet experience to her new position, spending the past eight years on the school's faculty and choreographing company productions.
The company's Children's Division offers classes in traditional and contemporary ballet for girls and boys ages 2½ to 12 years. Students present a showcase performance in the spring and are invited to audition for children's roles in the company's annual production of "The Nutcracker" and Spring Rep.
