OAKLAND -- Jazz at the Chimes will present the popular Pacific Mozart Ensemble at 2 p.m. Sept. 21 at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave.

Taking full advantage of the bright and resonant acoustics of the historic and visually stunning Chapel of the Chimes, the Pacific Mozart Ensemble will present unplugged, "best-of" arrangements of jazz charts from its highly popular "A Cappella Jazz & Pop Concert."

The concert has proved to be the most popular event of PME's season.

It's the time when many members of the group get to display the scope of their choral creativity.

The concert at Chapel of the Chimes on Sept. 21 will be followed by a reception where the public can meet the musicians, purchase CDs and enjoy refreshments.

Founded in 1980 by artistic director Richard Grant, the Pacific Mozart Ensemble delivers choral performances of music from Brahms to Brubeck to the Beach Boys.
