On Saturday, Oct. 26, law enforcement agencies throughout Contra Costa and Alameda counties will be providing safe places to deposit unused or expired prescription drug medications as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Below is a list of places where residents can go to discard their medications, at no cost. The event is held at all locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Contra Costa County:

  • Brentwood: Brentwood Police Department, 9100 Brentwood Boulevard

  • Concord: Concord Police Department,1350 Galindo Street

  • Danville: Danville Police Department, 510 La Gonda Way

  • Lafayette: Lafayette Police Department, 3675 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Suite 375

  • Martinez: Office of the Sheriff Muir Station, 1980 Muir Road

  • Martinez: Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, 2500 Alhambra Avenue

  • Oakley: Oakley Police Department, 3231 Main Street

  • Orinda: Orinda Police Department, 22 Orinda Way

  • Pittsburg: Pittsburg Police Department, 65 Civic Avenue

  • Richmond: Office of the Sheriff Bay Station, 5555 Giant Highway

    Alameda County:

    n Emeryville: Emeryville Police Department, 2449 Powell Street

  • Fremont: Kaiser Permanent Fremont Medical Center, 39400 Paseo Padre Parkway
