CONCORD -- Police say a 33-year-old man who was reported missing earlier this month was found dead in an Idaho lodge on Friday afternoon.
Family members had not heard from Brian Erb since Nov. 10. A statewide alert was issued for Erb and his Ford truck earlier this week in hopes he would be found alive.
After receiving a tip Friday morning that Erb might be about 1,000 miles away in the Idaho Panhandle, Concord police investigators called authorities in Idaho's Bonner County to ask for their help in the case.
The county is located in Idaho's far northern region.
The Bonner County Sheriff's Office visited a lodge in the town of Sandpoint where Erb was thought to be staying, and found him dead just after 1 p.m. Friday.
Investigators are still trying to determine the nature of his death. There were no signs of foul play, according to Bonner County authorities.
Erb leaves behind a wife and two young daughters. On the same night he disappeared, he had been working at his father's restaurant, Back Forty Texas BBQ in Pleasant Hill.
