Netflix Inc. (NFLX) said Wednesday that it has entered a two-year agreement that will let its members watch older episodes of shows from Discovery, TLC, Animal Planet and other channels.

The non-exclusive agreement, which Netflix signed with Discovery Communications, will let members stream the shows over the Internet to their TVs and computers. The agreement also covers the channels Investigation Discovery, Science and Military Channel and includes shows such as TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress" and Animal Planet's "River Monsters"

Netflix has been under fire this week for its implementation of its decision to separate its Internet streaming division from its DVD-by-mail division. Customers who get both will now have to visit two websites to make video requests and update their bills, and they'll have to pay more for the DVDs. The company sees it as a way to get ahead of consumers' shift away from the old-media discs, but .some customers are annoyed by the inconvenience and have threatened to leave.

Shares rose 77 cents to $130.80 in premarket trading Wednesday but are down about 16 percent for the week.
