SAN LORENZO -- A nonpartisan forum on Sept. 21 will look at the propositions facing California voters in November.
The luncheon forum is co-sponsored by the nonpartisan League of Women Voters of the Eden Area and the Hayward-Castro Valley branch of the American Association of University Women.
Speakers will discuss Proposition 30, a sales and income tax increase initiative backed by Gov. Jerry Brown, and Proposition 38, which would raise income taxes to support public education in California.
Arguments for and against all of the state ballot measures will be presented at the forum, which begins at 11:30 a.m. at the San Lorenzo Village Homeowners Association Hall, 377 Paseo Grande.
The luncheon is $10 if paid in advance and $15 at the door. There is no charge for the program, which begins at 12:15 p.m.
