CASTRO VALLEY -- The documentary "Heist: Who Stole the American Dream" will be screened Sunday at the Castro Valley Library.

The film looks at the effect of deregulation, job outsourcing and tax policies on the middle class. Film co-producer and director Donald Goldmacher will lead a discussion after the screening.

The film will be shown at 1:30 p.m. at 3600 Norbridge Ave.

The free event is sponsored by Starr King Unitarian Universalist Church's social justice alliance. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated, with net proceeds going to South Hayward Parish, a consortium of churches working with the disadvantaged.
