Professional background/occupation/elected history: Attorney for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Retired in 2004, as regional attorney for the department's Pacific Region, supervising 25 attorneys in three states.
Elected to Walnut Creek City Council 2008, appointed mayor in 2011. On Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Transit Authority (County Connection), Contra Costa Mayors' Conference appointee to the East Bay Regional Park District, Park Advisory Committee and the Bay Area Hazardous Waste Management Facility Allocation Committee.
