PITTSBURG -- A Pittsburg woman was arrested on suspicion of arson after reportedly setting fire to a parked car early Saturday morning, fire officials said.
Julie Holland, 30, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of arson in connection with an early-morning car fire near West Leland Road, fire officials said. Fire crews responded to the fire in the 100 block of Atherton Circle at 1:40 p.m. and found a small fire burning in a 1994 Toyota Tercel.
Crews quickly contained the flames and called investigators to the scene after deeming the fire suspicious. Investigators later determined the fire to be arson.
Witness statements led fire officials to Holland, who is said to know the vehicle's
owner, the fire district said. Police said the arson was an isolated incident and not related to any other crimes in the area.
Holland was arrested for felony arson and booked into Contra Costa County Jail. Her bail was set at $75,000.
