Amador Valley used a balanced attack both on offense and defense for a victory to ruin Livermore's homecoming.

The Dons mixed in a balanced attack on the ground and through the air, accumulating 336 yards of offense. The team rushed for 206, and quarterback Kyle Moreno passed for 130 yards. The senior connected with six receivers, but none for more than two completions.

"Every team we play knows that our two main guys are Kyle Greenan and Grant Miller," Moreno said. "We used that to our advantage and spread the ball around to everybody."

It wasn't all offense as the Dons also got a defensive touchdown just before halftime when Greenan picked off a pass from Livermore's Zach McPherson and returned the interception 30 yards for the score.

Livermore (2-4, 0-2 East Bay Athletic League) had the game's first lead with a 1-yard keeper from McPherson. But that lead was erased on Amador Valley's next possession when Moreno found Grant Miller for a 2-yard touchdown pass. That score began a run of 34 unanswered points from the Dons (3-3, 1-2).
