HAYWARD -- A Hayward woman was arrested in connection with shooting a man in the head during an argument in a car, police said.
Adriana Falcon, 18, was arrested on suspicion of shooting the passenger in the front seat of the car she was riding in, Lt. Roger Keener said.
About 1:09 a.m., Falcon and a group of friends had been drinking outside of Fernandes Stein Room Lounge at 939 B St. before they got into a vehicle, drove away and got into an argument, Keener said. Shortly after, the man in the passenger seat was shot in the head by someone in the back seat, at which point the driver pulled into a parking lot at 22280 Foothill Blvd. and one of the vehicle's occupants dialed 911.
The victim, a 26-year-old Hayward man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, Keener said. He is expected to survive.
No charges have been filed against Falcon at this point in time, though she remains in custody, Keener said. Investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing.
