UNION CITY -- A teenager has been arrested after police say she brought marijuana-laced Rice Krispies Treats to school, passed them out and got her classmates high.
Officers responded at 2:37 p.m. on Oct. 4 to James Logan High School for a report of a freshman student providing the tainted desserts to some of her classmates, Cmdr. Ben Horner said.
Police believe the student brought the Rice Krispies Treats to the school at 1800 H St. and distributed them to her classmates without telling them they contained marijuana.
No students were injured as a result, Horner said.
The student was arrested at school, Horner said.
According to the district, no teachers consumed the tainted treats.
A district spokesman said Thursday the Board of Education will determine whether to expel the student.
The board's next regular meeting is Tuesday.
