SAN FRANCISCO -- The Embarcadero BART station is closed after a man died on the tracks in an apparent suicide, a BART spokesman said Saturday.
Witnesses said a man jumped in front of a westbound train in the station at 7:48 p.m., said spokesman Jim Allison.
The station is closed for the investigation and trains on all routes are passing through without stopping.
Passengers wishing to board or disembark in downtown San Francisco should used the Montgomery Station.
It was not immediately known when the station would reopen.
