SAN LEANDRO -- Authorities are asking the public's help in locating a missing man who suffers from medical conditions including schizophrenia, police said.

Isaac Benjamin Bauer, 19, was last seen Saturday prior before he went missing from Villa Fairmont Mental Health Rehabilitation Center at 15200 Foothill Blvd. in San Leandro, said Alameda County Sheriff's Department spokesman J.D. Nelson.

Bauer, who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds with blue eyes and short blond hair, was last seen wearing a black vest over a red shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Nelson said Bauer suffers from schizophrenia and depression and is without his medications.

He is familiar with the Berkeley and Albany areas, but could be anywhere, Nelson said.

He has previously told family members he might commit suicide if he gets out of Villa Fairmont, Nelson said. If located he is to be taken to John George Psychiatric facility or any acute care psychiatric hospital, Nelson said.

Anyone with information about Bauer is asked to contact Detective Greg Landeros at (510)667-4434.
