Jamal Lockett rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns in the first half to help lead Pittsburg High to a Big Little Game victory over host Antioch on Friday night in the Bay Valley Athletic League finale for both teams.

Lockett opened the scoring with a 50-yard touchdown run on the Pirates' first possession, then added an 80-yard touchdown run near the end of the first quarter. The Pirates (7-3, 4-1) finished the first half with 219 yards on the ground.

Lockett finished with 284 yards rushing and was pulled in the third once the score was 42-7.

Pittsburg led 28-0 when Antioch scored its first points, as quarterback Alex Obias found Elbert Hamilton Jr. for a 15-yard touchdown on a screen pass with 12 seconds left in the first half. On two other drives, Antioch had the ball inside the Pittsburg 20-yard line but turned the ball over on downs.

The Pirates have won the past six Big Little Game meetings with the Panthers (6-4, 1-4).

Pittsburg, which closed the season on a three-game winning streak, now looks forward to the North Coast Section Division I playoffs. The Pirates should receive one of the top eight seeds and is hoping to host a first-round game next week.

Antioch also is eligible for the Division I playoffs but probably will have to go on the road for its first game.
