CONCORD -- Neighbors remembered a father and son found dead in their apartment unit last weekend as inseparable and expressed shock at their deaths.
The bodies of Edward Thomas Madrigal, 84, and Edward Alan Madrigal, 52, were discovered sometime Sunday morning. The Contra Costa County Corner confirmed the deaths were a double suicide.
Neighbors said the elder Madrigal was a war veteran and that his son took care of him. The two lived in a small cul-de-sac of multiunit apartment complexes in Camara Circle.
Police investigated the scene throughout Sunday but did not release any details. Neighbors said the two men were found by the younger Madrigal's girlfriend, who contacted authorities.
