MARTINEZ -- A 68-year-old man was sentenced Friday to six years in state prison for molesting a 9-year-old Concord girl in 1992.
Kenneth Ray Myers fled the area after the child's mother, his girlfriend at the time, confronted him about the molestation, deputy district attorney Derek Butts said. Myers was apprehended last year by Las Vegas police acting on an arrest warrant issued by Concord police 20 years ago.
Myers testified at his September trial that he was innocent. The jury found him guilty of one count of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under age 14.
