Kate Middleton is back, doing ... things that duchess-people do.

After canceling her last four public appearances due to acute morning sickness -- for which she was hospitalized two weeks ago -- Middleton finally felt well enough to get out of the palace. The Duchess of Cambridge attended BBC's annual Sports Personality of the Year Awards Sunday night to present Bradley Wiggins and London 2012 chief Lord Coe with a SPOTY trophy and the Lifetime Achievement Award, respectively.

Middleton serves as an ambassador for Team GB and maintained a strong presence during the Olympics and Paralympics this year.

Kate is less than 12 weeks pregnant and looked pretty great in an emerald Alexander McQueen gown (I totally knew who the designer was as soon as I saw it). The 30-year-old paired her McQueen with Black Jimmy Choo heels, Kiki McDonough blue topaz earrings, an Asprey button pendant and her signature bangs.

Of course she did.

The duchess was embroiled in controversy last week when a hospital nurse committed suicide after being duped by a radio prank into taking a call seeking information on Kate's medical condition.
