A Wilmington woman charged with assaulting a 12-year-old girl in San Pedro has been arrested, police said Friday.

Lindsay Heredia, 29, was arrested Thursday afternoon in Wilmington. She is charged with willful cruelty to a child in connection with a Jan. 14 fight in an alley in the 1300 block of West Gaffey Street, police said.

Heredia is suspected in the same fight as Amber Lynn Gutierrez, 33, who was previously charged with assault. Gutierrez's daughter and another girl, both students at Dana Middle School, had arranged to fight there, police said. Gutierrez joined her daughter, along with Heredia, police said. Each took part in the fight and assaulted the other girl, police said.

The girl suspect in the case was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of battery.

The fight was recorded on video and broadcast by KTLA news.
