WESTCHESTER — The top Los Angeles mayoral candidates will face questions from Loyola Marymount University students Tuesday at a debate on campus.

It will be from 4:30-7 p.m., in Hilton 100, which is in the Conrad N. Hilton Center for Business next to the William H. Hannon Library.

Expected to attend are City Council members Eric Garcetti and Jan Perry, Controller Wendy Greuel, Kevin James and Emanuel Pleitez.

The election is March 5.

The debate is the first event in the annual Urban Lecture Series presented each spring semester by the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles. Fernando Guerra, director of the Leavey Center, professor of political science and assistant to the president for community engagement, will be the moderator.

The debate is co-sponsored by the Leavey Center and the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce. Anyone can attend the event, which will be webcast by the city's cable provider, LA36.
