COMMERCE - A postal worker who became angry at an 11-year-old girl who laughed at him when he inadvertently went into the women's restroom at a park in Commerce was arrested for suspicion of cruelty to a child, the sheriff's department announced Tuesday.

Deputies from the sheriff's East Los Angeles Station were called to Bristow Park on Monday where the girl told them the postal worker had choked her.

Several witnesses verified that they had seen the postal worker become angry and choke the girl.

Daniel Villasenor was located nearby and arrested. His bail was set at $100,000.

It has not been determined if the suspect was on duty.

Anyone with information on the case was asked to call the sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
