Manhattan Beach City Council candidates will appear Thursday at a candidates forum sponsored by the Manhattan Beach Residents Association.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at 1400 Highland Ave.

The March 5 election features six candidates, including Mayor Wayne Powell, who are running for three council seats. Councilmen Nick Tell and Richard Montgomery are termed out.
