DUVCW installation: The Torrance-based Hannah Anderson Ropes Tent 86 of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865 recently installed its 2013 officers. They are: Lynn Robinson, president; Annette James Rogers, senior vice president; Gene Hassan, junior vice president; Edith Osterhues, chaplain; Barbara Spencer, patriotic instructor; and Lynda Kraemer, treasurer. Council members are Virda Chappell, Kathy Fikel-Gessner and Albertine Bellows. Appointed officers include Beth Collier, secretary and DUV chair; Virda Chappell, press correspondent and historian; Pat Paulson, guide. Special guest Carole Morton, the DUVCW national president, conducted the installation ceremony. Louise Forsberg and Leah Fernald were initiated into the tent.
