The blizzard in New England forced the cancellation of 63 flights in and out of Los Angeles International Airport Saturday.

Five airlines at LAX canceled flights today due to the snow storm, which closed airports in New York City, Newark, N.J. and Boston, said Albert Rodriguez of the Los Angeles World Airports.

Passengers heading to the northeast region of the country were advised to check their airlines to confirm flights before coming to the Los Angeles

International Airport, Rodriguez said.

"LAX officials are continuing to monitor weather conditions in the northeast and will update as necessary," he said.
