A motorcyclist killed Monday when a van pulled out of in front of him in Torrance has been identified, police said.

Jonathan Garland, 28, of Torrance died shortly after the 11:30 a.m. crash as he rode east in the 2800 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, coroner's officials said.

Garland ran into a van that pulled out from a driveway, police said.

Garland was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The driver of the van was not hurt.
