OAKLAND -- A man was shot and wounded early Saturday morning, but managed to transport himself to a hospital, police said.

The shooting was reported around 1 a.m. near the intersection of 60th Avenue and International Boulevard, according to Oakland police officer J. Moore. No one else was injured.

The man, who was not identified, was struck more than once by gunfire, but was in stable condition at a hospital, Moore said.

There was no suspect information immediately available.
