The Student Success Transfer and Retention Services Program at El Camino College near Torrance will celebrate a decade of helping students reach their academic goals with its 10th annual breakfast fundraiser Friday in the college's East Dining Room.

The event celebrates the achievements of El Camino students, while also raising money for student scholarships. El Camino College's 29 support services also will be highlighted at the event, demonstrating how each offers strategies for student retention. The breakfast also will include a Hall of Fame induction ceremony for former students of the program, which is referred to on campus as SSTARS.

The Student Success Transfer and Retention Services Program was established to ensure students are aware of services to help them be successful in college, including career counseling and placement and financial aid.
