DANVILLE -- Residents opposed to changes proposed for Danville's general plan will hold a final town hall meeting before the controversial plan goes to the Town Council.
The meeting will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Veterans Memorial Building, 400 Hartz Ave.
The guest speaker will be Bob Silvestri, a Marin County architect, president of Environmental Media Fund and author of "The Best Laid Plans: Our Planning and Affordable Housing Challenges in Marin."
The Danville 2030 General Plan was approved by the Planning Commission earlier this month after a series of well-attended meetings where residents spoke out against more high-density, affordable housing and more development on agricultural land.
The plan will go to the Town Council on Tuesday. They will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Danville Community Center, 420 Front St.
Wednesday's town hall meeting is sponsored by Friends of Danville and Save Open Space-Danville.
