Twenty Los Angeles World Airports security, police and traffic officers, as well as one fire captain, will be recognized Thursday for helping cardiac arrest victims at two of the region's airports.
The public safety professionals will be honored by the Los Angeles Fire Department at its annual Public Access Defibrillator Awards ceremony at 10 a.m.. The goal of the program is to increase the survival rate from sudden cardiac arrest.
Those being honored are based at Los Angeles International Airport and LA/Ontario International Airport.
