FREMONT -- A gunman wearing sunglasses and a black cloth over his face robbed a busy Wells Fargo Bank branch on Monday, police said.

No one was injured during the armed robbery.

Officers were dispatched at 9:10 a.m. to 40982 Fremont Blvd. after receiving multiple "hold up" alarm activations from the bank, said police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.

The male suspect entered the bank armed with a small black handgun and demanded money, police said. Employees gave the suspect money and he ran out of the bank, police said. He was last seen running toward Trimboli Avenue.

Police described the suspect as a black man who wore a black leather hat, black sunglasses, a black cloth covering his face, a red and blue striped shirt and jeans.
