OAKLAND -- Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10th Street and Mandela Parkway.

According to an Oakland police dispatcher, the shooting happened just before 7 p.m. in the residential area, and it is unknown if anyone else was injured.

Suspect information was not available, and it was not yet known what led to the city's 58th homicide this year.
