OAKLAND -- Police say a shooting left an 18-year-old man dead in the 8000 block of Ney Avenue at 11:09 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the man, who was shot to death in his car, lived in East Oakland. They are not releasing his name at this time. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The killing was a drive-by shooting by someone in another car who kept on going, police said. They have no suspects in custody and know of no motive.

This marked the 59th homicide of the year in Oakland.
