FREMONT -- Caltrans and city officials will hold a community meeting next week to discuss two future road construction projects in the Mission San Jose district.
The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at the Olive Hyde Meeting Room, at 123 Washington Blvd. Officials will present details about proposed road improvements near where Mission Boulevard intersects with Verde Way and, further south, with Interstate 680.
The construction is expected to start next spring and be completed by fall of next year.
A minimum of one lane will be kept open in each direction along Mission Boulevard, city officials said. But delays are expected during the construction period and detour routes will be provided to motorists.
For more information about the meeting or the projects, residents can call 510-494-4728.
