UNION CITY -- Police on Wednesday released the description of a man who exposed his genitals and simulated a sex act in front of a mother and her three daughters as they ate inside a busy fast-food restaurant.
Investigators say it may not be the first time the man committed the lewd act.
Officers were called about 4:30 p.m. on July 25 to the Burger King restaurant at 31361 Alvarado Niles Road for a report of indecent exposure, said Cmdr. Ben Horner.
The victim's mother, a Union City resident, told police that a man who was sitting at an adjacent table next to her and her three girls exposed his penis to them, then made thrusting motions toward the children, who were all under the age of 10.
The mother told the manager what happened and left the restaurant with her children. The suspect was last scene driving a white 1994 Toyota Celica, with black rims, a black bra on the front end and a dent on the rear passenger side panel.
Police say the suspect is a white man in his mid 50s, about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with short, balding dirty-blonde hair. He wore eyeglasses, a beige fisherman's-type hat held on with a drawstring, a white T-shirt and light blue shorts.
The man, Horner said, may be involved in similar incidents throughout the Bay Area as well. Police have not released additional information about those reported incidents.
Anyone with information about the indecent exposure is asked to call police at 510-675-5247.
