SAN LEANDRO -- No one was injured after officers found remnants of a shooting outside an apartment complex Saturday afternoon, police said.

Around 1:21 p.m., San Leandro police responded to reports of shots fired in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2700 block of San Leandro Boulevard.

Little else was released by police regarding the incident.

No injuries have been reported.

Witnesses did tell police, however, that a suspect in the shooting was last seen heading north on San Leandro Boulevard.

"Apartment communities are densely populated areas. We are fortunate that no one was injured as a result of this senseless act," said San Leandro police Lt. Luis Torres.
