SAN JOSE -- San Jose State's game against Minnesota on Sept. 21 will air at 9 a.m. Pacific time on either ESPN or ESPN2, the schools announced Monday.
It gives the Spartans at least seven nationally-televised games, adding to an already all-time high total.
SJSU (1-1) has a bye this week after losing to No. 5 Stanford 34-13 on Saturday. This will be the Spartans' first meeting with Minnesota since 1992 when they beat the Golden Gophers 39-30 at the Metrodome.
The Spartans will not receive bonus money -- which is $500,000 for Saturday games on major national networks -- per the Mountain West Conference's television deal because this is a non-conference road game. Only games played at Mountain West home sites are eligible because the conference owns the rights to those games.
