FREMONT -- The Tri-City Animal Shelter is offering free pet adoptions every Wednesday and Saturday throughout October.

In celebration of the fall, the shelter at 1950 Stevenson Boulevard, will offer free adoptions for cats, dogs and rabbits.

Each pet will be spayed or neutered at no cost before going home with their new family. Fremont residents may be required to pay city licensing fees, according to information from the Fremont Police Department.

Shelter hours are Tuesday through Friday from noon to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The shelter is closed on Mondays.
