OAKLAND -- The search continued Friday for the killer of a 52-year-old man fatally shot Thursday night outside his Sobrante Park home in East Oakland, police said.
The man's name was being withheld by police.
The shooting happened about 7:20 p.m. Thursday in the 10600 block of Topanga Drive, just a few blocks from the San Leandro border.
The man was outside his home when two men pulled up in a vehicle and began arguing with him, Officer Phong Tran said.
One of the men then pulled a gun and shot the man before the suspects fled. He died at the scene.
Tran said police are still trying to determine what the argument was about and if the victim knew the suspects.
Police said the man was married, had two children and worked as a truck driver.
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the suspects. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3821 or a tip line at 510-773-2805.
