SAN JOSE -- A San Jose man was arrested Sunday evening on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury following a motorcycle crash that sent a woman to the hospital with major injuries, according to the CHP.
The man also suffered major injuries after crashing into a concrete barrier on southbound 101 at Yerba Buena Road in South San Jose.
At 6:25 p.m., the man and women were riding a 2007 black Yamaha when the motorcycle drifted off the roadway and collided with a concrete barrier, according to the CHP. The motorcycle was traveling at an "excessive" speed at the time of the crash.
The 33-year-old man and a 29-year-old Livingston woman were rushed to San Jose Regional Medical Center.
