MORGAN HILL -- A high-speed chase that started after a burglary in Morgan Hill ended with the arrest of two San Francisco men when their car crashed in San Jose on Tuesday, police said.
Morgan Hill officers were responding to a report of a burglary on Oakview Circle around 1 p.m. when they saw suspects fleeing the area in a grey Lexus. The officers pursued the vehicle onto Highway 101 into San Jose, where the car crashed into another vehicle after getting off the freeway at East Capitol Expressway.
Two men fled on foot, but were caught after Morgan Hill and San Jose officers set up a perimeter in the area and brought in a police dog. Andre Clark, 23 and Dennis Windham, 20, were booked into Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, evading police, reckless driving, obstruction of justice and a probation violation, according to Morgan Hill police.
Items stolen from the Oakview Circle residence was found in the Lexus, police said.
