CAMPBELL -- An employee at a Campbell nightclub was shot and wounded early Saturday after complaining about loud music coming from a group of men in the parking lot, police said.

The shooting was reported about 1:55 a.m. outside The Spot, a nightclub on Orchard City Drive, according to Campbell police. The victim, a 33-year-old man, and club bouncers approached a group of men in their 20s and asked them to turn their music down.

That prompted a man in the group to open fire on the employee, police said. The injured worker was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police released vague descriptions of the shooter and other men, saying said they were accompanied by a woman. They were last seen driving east on Orchard City Drive in two cars, a light-colored newer-model four-door sedan and a dark-colored late-1990s model Chevy Camaro.
