SAN FRANCISCO -- An elderly Daly City man went missing while traveling home from San Francisco International Airport after arriving on a flight from Oregon, and authorities say he is at risk.
Relatives of 76-year-old Benito Segura were supposed to pick him up when he arrived at the airport Friday morning, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. But the family was unable to do so, and Segura had to find his own way home, police said.
He was seen getting into a cab at 9:30 a.m., according to the Sheriff's Office, and was dropped off at John Daly Boulevard and Mission Road. Authorities don't know what happened to him after that. Segura also answers to the name Benito Segura-Jimenez, authorities said.
Segura is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs about 150 pounds, has brown eyes and gray hair, authorities said. He also speaks Spanish, and authorities said he's at risk because he has dementia.
Anyone seeing Segura should immediately contact the Sheriff's Office at 650-363-4911 or Detective Stephanie Josephson at 650-740-9136.
