BERKELEY -- Savers is opening its first thrift store here Nov. 14, marking the company's eighth location in Northern California.
Savers thrift stores sell used housewares, clothes, collectibles, furniture and kitchen appliances. The company also supports charitable organizations, and has partnered with the Epilepsy Foundation of America, a nonprofit group with offices in San Francisco that is working to help find a cure for epilepsy. Savers will contribute money to the Epilepsy Foundation each time it receives a donation at the Berkeley store.
The store is at 1414 University Ave. Savers also opened store last month on Regional Street in Dublin.
