OAKLAND -- A man was pistol whipped, robbed and stabbed outside his East Oakland home Friday night, police said.
The 37-year-old victim was in stable condition Saturday at a hospital.
The violent incident happened about 11:41 p.m. Friday on Farnam Street in the Fruitvale district, police said Saturday.
The man was outside his home when he was confronted by two robbers, one with a gun, police said.
During the attack, the man was robbed of his wallet and cell phone by the assailants. Police subsequently found the wallet and phone in the area but no arrests were made, police said.
The victim, who was taken by ambulance to a hospital, is expected to recover.
